Small Classes & Individual Attention: Usp Of Our Lady Of Holy Cross College Academics

Founded in 1916 near downtown New Orleans Our Lady of Holy Cross College closely

follows Catholic ideals with multiple faith-based activities like prayer grouping, retreats, and evenings of reflection. The faith is well depicted in the annual Bread for the World/Walk for the Hungry programs volunteered by the students. With Enrollment of 1250 students, the college has a southern colonial type premise.

Dedicated to small classes focusing on individual attention the academy offers multiple undergraduate programs that include Allied health, history, theology and various other disciplines. Besides undergraduate programs the academy offers Masters degree in Education and Theology.

Undergraduate programs offered for career seekers in the file of medicine are pre-medicine, pre-density, pre-veterinarian, and pre-pharmacy courses. Minimum C grade combined with 2.5 GPA in professional courses is mandatory for all pre-professional bachelors degree programs. Online Nursing Program awarding registered Nursing degree is also available.

Support extended to the students includes online tutorials, written materials, placement and proficiency tests, as well as multiple pre-college courses helping build up college career. Open enrollment is available for all candidates including the high school graduates, GED holders, and transferred students of accredited universities.

Admission requires non-refundable application fee for all first timers. Papers for admission should be deposited three weeks prior to first of the registration. Applications for graduate courses require the written applications accompanied with an essay on career goal of the student, transcripts of previous course works and three letters of recommendation.

Delivering credit classes in form of outreach program for the High School students, the institute allows students that have completed their sophomore year attending classes in college early. Written permission of the principal concerned would be required. Aptitude test scores from the records of Graduate Examination will be required for counseling or theology programs or Millers Analogies Test for the Education Programs.

Graduate admissions require a completed written application form along with a written essay discussing the students career goals, official transcripts from previous course work, and three letters of recommendation. Financial aids provided by the institute aims at helping students at the time of their financial requirements. Enrollment counselors officiate from 8.30 A.M to 5.00 PM and also allow walk-ins for the students. Interestingly counselors are engaged according to their last names.
