Solar lights are gaining importance on two accounts; firstly they are environmental friendly and second they bring major relief in your electricity bill.
Solar lights are being used in many outdoor applications as well. Many of you would be thinking that we have plenty of solar light outside so how can solar lighting help us in brightening up the outdoor area?
As the solar energy can be received and stored during the day, these lights can be used to light up the outdoor areas at night. Outdoor pathways, gardens and even street lighting can be provided by the way of solar energy.

There are two basic ways in which electronic devices intake solar energy. Solar energy either powers them directly or indirectly through a battery. The devices which have direct intake of solar energy can only be used during the day time.
While if any device is to be powered by solar energy during the night time it has to be routed through a battery that is charged during the day through solar power. A solar powered car uses both these techniques and can be used during both day and night.
During the day direct sunlight powers both the car and recharges its battery so that it can be used in dark as well.
Therefore there are many outdoor applications of solar light which can be used both during the day and night. Let us show our responsibility towards our environment and make more and more use of solar energy.
