They will maintain the chlorine balance of the pool and will also keep the pool water clean. Therefore they conserve water, reduce chemical consumption and maintenance required for pool cleaning.

Solar pool covers need to be taken off just before you start swimming and replaced after you leave the pool. Liquid pool covers are also available which float over the surface of water. This thin layer remains on the surface of water even while you are swimming and acts as a shield against evaporation. They are non- toxic and biodegradable.
