Solar Water Heating System

Solar Water Heating System

Solar Water Heating System

Solar energy is one of the cleanest and inexhaustible sources of energy from all energy sources. It gives heat, light and other radiations. Sun rays carry huge amount of energy and also responsible for almost all the natural processes on earth. Solar energy is quite harmful and used in numbers of technologies.

There are numbers of devices which needs solar energy but the newest one is solar water heater system. It is most commonly used to save electricity. It is also a strong competitor of conventional water heating methods such as electric geysers and fuel-fed boilers. Apart from saving energy it has others advantages like pollution free nature, virtually inexhaustible supply and near-zero operational cost. Solar water heating system is inexpensive, safe, and reliable and also easy to maintain. More importantly these sources are eco-friendly and provide trouble free service for years together.

Solar Water Heating System comes out in two categories i.e. active or passive. Active Systems use electric pumps, valves, and controllers to circulate water. These are usually more expensive than passive systems.Passive systems move household water. These are less expensive than others.Have a look below:

Active System

Open Loop

This system use household water and circulate it. This system is not used efficiently if your water is acidic or hard. These openloop systems are quite popular in non-freezing climates such as Hawaii.

Closed Loop

Closed Loop systems are good to use. These systems pump heat-transfer fluids, usually a glycol-water antifreeze mixture through collectors. These systems are quite popular in the areas subject to extended freezing temperatures as closed loop systems offer good freeze protection.

Pumps in Active Systems

The pumps in solar system have low power that"s why nowadays big companies are using direct current pumps. These pumps have PV panels which convert sunlight into direct current electricity.

Passive Systems

Batch Heaters

Batch Heaters are also known as "bread box" or integral collector storage systems. Batch Heatersare simple Passive system which are quite inexpensive and need less maintenance with fewer failures, if any.

Thermosiphon Systems

Thermosiphon System circulates water through the collectors and to the tank. While installation this system you must remember that the tank must be above the collector. These systems are reliable and inexpensive but need careful planning.

These above are few kinds of solar water heater system . These solar water heater systems are inexpensive than electric heaters. Avail it soon to save electricity and your house hold cost.
