We usually attend parties to celebrate some occasion

Music can be a powerful stimulant for conversation because people love to talk when music is being played in the background. Music seems to have a vitalizing effect on thinking and gives people lots of ideas to talk about.

Many people clam up in a room that is silent. That is probably because they are shy about their opinions and prefer to talk when what they have to say won't attract that much attention. Music is a good way to get your guests interacting But if you really want to thaw out everyone out, get them to dance to the music.

Dinners usually have a formal theme. Guests are normally required to attend in dignified attire. Such events are organized for esteemed visitors, relatives and friends. They may also be given to commemorate events and celebrate accomplishments. However they may be given for no special reason at all. The amount required should be able to go around. This type of dinner party is associated with fund-raising events and other socio-civic programs held in church or in the community hall.

Celebrations exclusive for ladies are called 'hen parties.' Occasions which only men attend are termed 'stag parties.' More frequently, 'hen' happenings are given by groups of ladies to promote a commercial product for women. These products may be containers for the kitchen, beauty supplies or women's clothing. Knitting clubs may also hold 'hen' get-togethers to improve the rapport among its members or to welcome new members. 'Stag' occasions do not need a better excuse to happen than that some gentlemen want to enjoy the evening drinking with their friends.
