Sources Of Energy Explained - Fossil, Wind, Water And Solar
Global warming is one of the adverse effects derived from pollution and carbon emissions
. This tremendously hurt the environment and the people. Ailments can be caused by these hazardous materials and there is an urgent need to remedy this worsening situation. Global warming has been a perennial problem since many years back, yet no solutions were adopted and instituted. This can be traced from man's inability to disseminate the information fast and accurately.
There are people who are not aware of the negative impact of carbon emission. Where do these come from? To start, are we agreeable that carbon emissions are pollutants that are damaging to earth? Well, this is a fact never contradicted even by the most traditional scientists. Carbon emissions are related to energy - heat and electricity from fossils such as coal, oil and natural gas.
The fossil fuels are the source of power to run almost hundred percent of motor driven vehicles - be it land as in cars, air as in planes and water as in ships.
As the earth is running out of time, it is incumbent upon people to re-think about this carbon emission problem - a replacement of fuel from which energy is generated. It is time to put a stop on fossil fuel. Other sources of power can be taken from water, wind and sun - the clean energy beneficial to the environment and man. There already exist clean energy technologies, invented and innovated but were not really adopted. These are the hydroelectric, wind and solar energy.
Hydroelectric plants had been existent for decades, or even centuries however, its drawback restrains man to utilize it in exchange for fossil fuel. The diversion of flow of rivers when building the dams for power supply harnesses the water power. Thus, this is more damaging. Wind energy has also be used but was not fully explored for some restrictions.
Solar energy has been introduced to the world and found some beneficial uses. However, despite its advantages, it cannot be fully implemented in all homes. The cost of solar panels is the restraining factor. People found it expensive to invest on this equipment for solar energy generation. However, the past few years saw breakthroughs in the manufacture of less expensive solar panels. There are many businesses now that engage in the installation of solar panels in every private home and in business establishments.
Global warming opponents believe that in a short period of time, the solar energy will be widely accepted. Actually, there is no cost for this power. The initial investment on the solar panel is the only expense. But if it will only be computed that in the long run, the solar power is far more less expensive as the investment spreads over months and years of use.
The use of these clean sustainable energy sources must be favored - hopefully by all homes and power users. As of this point in time there is only a relatively small scale of users. Solar energy installers also need to be aggressive in marketing their products - for the benefit of their business, the environment and the people.
