Players hate splitting wins in Texas Holdem

Players hate splitting wins in Texas Holdem. I know I don't like to share my hard earned winnings with anyone. So how does it happen? Read this article to find out how you end up splitting a win.

Splitting wins in Texas Holdem is one of those rare endings at a showdown, but it does happen. When it happens to me I get annoyed, wouldn't you? Having to split up the kitty with some other player after all the stress of playing the hand isn't my idea of a fairytale ending.

At the end of a round of poker, you will have to split the pot with another person if you both have exactly the same hand. This can happen due to a variety of causes, all of them quite uncommon. Read on for the a rare reason this will happen.

Splitting Wins In Texas Holdem - Your Are Both Using The Five Community Cards

Have you ever been in the situation where your playing for a hand and an even better one comes out on the board? To me, this is what Texas Holdem is all about, randomness! All of a sudden you realise that your best possible hand is the five cards on the board. This happens to me when I'm going for a straight and I have the bottom card then suddenly the top card of the straight comes out. Other times it's when I have two pair and then suddenly everyone has a face up trips on the board.

These situations are scary cause anyone could have just one card that tops the community cards hands and you will lose. But knowing life in general, sooner or later you'll take the punt with your hand just being the community cards, and the one time you do some other dunce will do the same and you'll have to split the pot. In other situations it is so obvious the community cards are the best everyone goes in and the pot is split multiple ways. I've actually played a hand where there were four queens as the community cards (haha). One bloke was so excited he shouted 'My first four of a kind! Woohoo!'

So as you can see, splitting wins in Texas Holdem does happen. If you play enough Texas Holdem inevitably you will run into a situation where the rules dictate that splitting the pot is the final answer. Don't get too caught up on it, chips are chips, a win is a win.
