Sports Fitness Training Today is More Than Just Wind Sprints
Sports fitness training today is not just about running a few laps, doing some sit ups and then some push ups. It has become a much more complex process if you want to be your best to compete with the best.
Personally, I have witnessed over the years the advances in training. These days the trainers are advising their athletes to visit chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopathic doctors, psychotherapists and nutritionists. This is a complex process which can be very expensive too.
An athlete can find various areas of expertise which will help him maintain top-level fitness. An athlete can go to a weight lifting specialist to increase his body weight and strength. If done correctly, weight lifting alone can improve the performance of an athlete and improve his confidence.
Some of the athletes will visit a nutritionist to lower their body fat level and build muscle more quickly. The nutritionist advises the athletes about the diet to be taken to achieve that.
Many athletes today are even visiting a chiropractor. A chiropractor can help the athletes with various techniques like A.R.T. (active release techniques), spinal adjustments, stretching and even electrical current therapy. My personal favorite is A.R.T.
Many high level athletes even visit naturopathic doctors. These doctors advise the athletes about nutritional supplements like vitamins and intravenous drips. These supplements help the athletes in recovery and remaining healthy after intense training.
The athletes today are being pro active in their preparation for sports fitness training. Most athletes today are using all or some of these areas of expertise to avoid injuries and sickness.
