Cheating on your wife can have a devastating impact on your marriage. If the holidays have taught you anything it is the fact that your wife is empty without your wife and the family you've created together in it. This means that you're going to need to do some serious soul searching in the coming days and weeks and make an active decision to really roll up your sleeves and get to work saving your marriage after cheating on your wife.

The thing is, so many people make this a difficult proposition when it really doesn't have to be. You love your wife and she loves you. That love doesn't end because you've made a mistake. It takes a while for the love to fade. This doesn't mean she isn't building walls and closing off her heart just as fast as she can.

While it isn't exactly difficult to save your marriage after you've cheated on your wife there are some things that will make it even easier for you. Do these things, and your wife will be opening her heart to you all over again.

Start a New Habit

Conventional wisdom says it takes 21 days of making an effort to do something for it to become a habit. Since humans are creatures of habits, once you make this a habit it will seem natural and require no additional effort on your part.

What is this habit you ask?

You need to get in the habit of making your wife feel as though she is the most important person in the world to you. How do you do this? You acknowledge the things she does that make your life easier. It's really simple. Thank your wife for cooking a good meal. Tell her how much you appreciate the fact that she takes care of you, your home, and your family. Make her feel as though you believe her contribution is important and NEED her.

Guess what happens when you do this?

She'll stand by your side through thick and thin even though you've hurt her and cheated on her because she NEEDS to be needed by YOU!

21 days seems like a lot of time in some ways but if you start at the beginning of the year working on saving your marriage after cheating on your wife than you should have your marriage back on the fast track to happy before the January has ended.
