Steve Korch Is An Experienced Pastor And Teacher

Steve Korch was born and raised in California

, much of that in the Santa Cruz area. An avid surfer in his youth, Steve Korch still finds time to surf the waves every now and then. His ordinary beginnings were much like others who grew up in the sixties. His common experience has given him an understanding of life and an appreciation for the unique culture of the West Coast. Steve Korch joined the army after his first semester of college and served in Vietnam was as a co-pilot for a year. His time in the military set the stage for him to receive Jesus Christ as his Savior and alter the course his life.

After his time in the Army, Steve continued his education and earned a B.A. in history from Biola University and an MDiv. from Western Seminary. Following seminary, Steve Korch served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lincoln City, Oregon. He spent nine years working with the church and saw the ministry grow from the smallest church in the town to the largest in the county. In those years, Steve also worked as an ER chaplain for the local hospital. He led the church through a building program and helped them start a radio ministry, a Christian bookstore and a Christian kindergarten.

An accomplished educator, Steve Korch is now a full time professor at the Western Seminary in Northern California where he teaches courses in applied theology and communication skills. Steve Korch brings his experience to the classroom, having pastored three West Coast churches in three different denominations over a span of twenty years. His tenure in these positions was exciting and challenging as he served congregations with culturally and spiritually diverse people. His speaking and teaching have helped people discover the love of Jesus Christ and find a new purpose in life.
