Most businesses in our generation focus on their own company instead of their consumers. This is a practical way in keeping their business. However, it can derail their ability to get the same customer to know more than just the brand they offer.
Many businesses understand that a good customer retention marketing plan can be as simple as having a service team and a toll-free number that they may dial to address their concerns. This gives the customers a sense of empowerment and the business makes its clientele feel valued. Today, a shift in consumer empowerment brings in more business because not only is it intended to cater to what pleases your patrons but it also helps you build stronger, real, lasting relationships with them. When you know what they want and you take some time to attend to them, you just dont service them, you also build more than just a business owner-client relationship; you encourage friendship and a certain pact that fosters loyalty and a solid customer base.
Loyalty versus Variety
Last week, when I was in a grocery store, the owner personally opened the door for me, introduced himself, got my name and offered personal assistance,. Now, that is what Id call excellent customer retention marketing strategy. I have no doubt that this man has a steady stream of loyal customers, why his store is just a simple, laid-back corner grocery but it sure looks like its been there for decades!
Customer retention marketing and its importance is taken for granted nowadays
because of the mushrooming of larger conglomerate businesses supermalls, supermarkets, warehouse stores and big multi-lane groceries that scream more variety and diversity. This affected the consumers mindset in a big way as well. Loyalties have shifted from good customer-business relationship to price. Shoppers troop to whichever offers low priced products.
But then, that isnt really a tough battle to tackle as long as you are able work out a good customer retention marketing strategy. One surefire way to keep yourself a few steps ahead of your competitors is by looking at your business in your customers perspective.
