Strolling In A Luxury Shopping Mall

The way your basic shopping mall has evolved can sometimes be just beyond your wildest imagination

. From being a place where all your necessity goods were conveniently provided under one roof, to becoming almost like a mega metropolis in its own entity. They have become more like satellite cities revolving around a core of densely populated areas, or sometimes just left smack-dab in the middle of the seemingly nowhere. Sometimes they are just your basic run-of-the-mill mall and other times they dazzle you with architectural ingenuity and out-of-worldly luxury.

In A Dubai State Of Mind

Dubai is like a giant playground for the extremely wealthy, with its skyline reaching for the heavens with some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. Outside of Dubai, they have even gone so far as to recreate the world, with the manmade archipelago landscape of small islands equipped with all the luxury you could ask for, each named after an existing country in the world.

Of course, there new world-bazaars are going to be something else as well. Some of Dubai's biggest malls sport over 400 retail stores and that is just a small fraction of what you are likely to find there, with mega movie theaters, luxury restaurants with all kinds of themes- here you could order a batch of shrimps and get them served in a remote-controlled boat; so when your tiny fishing boat is ready, you just steer your ship across the giant pool in the middle of the restaurant, from the kitchen area over to where you are sitting.

If you are in the mood to do some skiing, feel free to pop in after a day at the beach and your skin is feeling a bit red, and head to the indoor skiing resort built-in the middle of the mall. You can choose from at least a couple of different trails, and you can enjoy an umbrella drink at the alpine cabin on top of the highest slope.

Shopping By Boat

If your are after even more special experiences, why not go to Las Vegas and head out to their Venice-inspired mall, where you gently rock the turquoise canals on a gondola between your favorite shops. This imaginative Venice replica contains upscale restaurants and luxury boutiques. Have a bite to eat with a band of guitar players serenading you from a boat, or just lay back and watch all the commotion as you are being rowed around.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall... which is the greatest of them all? It is the Mall of America. With 4,200,000 square feet of retail shops, movie theaters, wedding chapels, magic wonderlands and just about anything you could think of, this mall takes the grand prize, at least when it comes to size. If you have a hard time wrapping your head around 4,200,000, picture fitting SEVEN Yankee Stadiums inside of it and you will start to scope its impact.

So the shopping mall has evolved to so much more than just being a place for retail. At times, they are a world of their own.
