Human civilization has a long history
Human civilization has a long history. Though every period of human history seems to be marked with specific events, some aspects can be traced in every century and in every culture. For instance, education in different countries has a different history of development, though it tends to be unified all over the world. Student organizations exist in all countries of the world. However, student organizations stem from social organizations. The common features of all organizations include a specific aim and members that should reach the aim. As a rule, student organizations exist beyond the curriculum and can be considered extracurricular activities.
A brief overview of subcultures
Subculture is a certain informal group of people that can happen to never see each other. The features that unite the representatives of a subculture include certain characteristics that contribute to an overall image of the group. Professional subcultures are united in accordance to the profession of people, whereas religious subcultures have a common religion that unites them. In this respect, people with the same occupation or even the same music or food preferences can be attributed to a subculture. Smoker and non-smokers are representatives of two opposite subcultures that can have only one thing in common; those who smoke and those who do not can listen to the same genre of music hence being the representatives of the same subculture as well.
Students as a subculture
There are different aspects that contribute to the overall image of a student. Music and sports are not universal features to be attributed to all students. Living on campus is not an appropriate feature since adoption of distance learning principles. Perhaps, being a student is a borderline condition between a highschool graduate and an adult who has a full-time job.
