Student Culture: Living On-campus. All Pros And Cons

After entering college or university, every student faces the problem of finding the accommodation

. As a matter of fact, students have two possible ways: either to live on-campus or off-campus.

Let us consider the advantages and disadvantages of on-campus living.

The advantages are:

1.As usually, all campuses are situated within easy reach to the university or college. One should not spend his/her time and money to get to the university or college. It is very comfortable, in fact.

2.It is widely known that living in the dorm, you are in the center of all recreational events of your university or college. You have the possibility to participate in the university social life. Moreover, you know the recent news and rumors. If you like to spend time with your friends, then you can find somebody to hang out with.

3.Moreover, consider the fact that living in the dorm, you do not have to worry about the rent payment and shopping. Usually, students have a meal plan that makes eating more convenient.

Apart from all attractable advantages of the on-campus living, there are some disadvantages that students should take into consideration.

The disadvantages of the on-campus living.

1.The on-campus living is a big discomfort for those who like privacy. Living in a dorm presupposes sharing bathroom, kitchen and bedroom with other students. The rooms are very close to each other and walls do not provide a necessary noise insulation, consequently, you will never have a quite room.

2.Do not expect that you will have enough space for all your things. Rooms at dorms are tiny and it may seem that your room is too crowded.

3.And the last thing. Living in the dorm may influence your grades as life there is very social. If you will be too involved, your grades may suffer.
