Students can be considered representatives of a specific subculture
. The same music, traditions, and style as well as jargon and preferences characterize students as an integral unit within a society. There are certainly many factors that help to introduce some differences existing between students. In this respect, ethnicity, culture, language, religion, and many other aspects contribute greatly to the multiculturalism in society in general as well as in a student community in particular. Student culture is a unique phenomenon in the global community regarding the history of human civilization and education. Campus, lectures, academic papers, and tests are common for all students, even those who are engaged in distance learning.
Enclaves: positive factors
Enclaves are off-campus territories inhabited by students from the point of view of people living in the neighborhood. The positive factor of neighboring upon student enclaves is that you can be sure that there are people in the neighborhood round the clock. It is important because if they would hear some noise as if your house is being robbed, they can call police. Moreover, you can provide those students with some job such as to cut the lawn and pay them some money to encourage for further cooperation. Other activities that require unskilled labor force can be also entrusted with inhabitants of the student enclave.
Enclaves: negative aspects
It is natural that students are not so quiet as other inhabitants of the same territory would expect. It is natural that students make some noise and are not very polite. However, all those factors cannot be compared to the empty houses when all students go on holiday. The community of residents is also ignored by students renting some territory off campus.
Student enclaves can be considered regarding both positive and negative aspects.
