Perhaps, each student is anxious for entering a college and is eager to make a good impression on teacher and students

. The outcome of the first impression is rather crucial for students, as it influence his further learning in college. To overcome difficulties and to be popular among the students, it is necessary to follow simple rules.

Several useful steps for making a positive impression:

Look nice! It does not mean that you should wear some fashionable paints and shirts that are rather expensive. Just look nice and be nice so that you may wear some tidy and smart things.

Be on time! This condition is important, as it shows you readiness to the learning process and desire to enter the class discussion. Besides, being on time provides you with the advantage to take a better seat, a front seat for example, in order to be able to ask questions and to be involved into the learning process.

Show your interest in the learning process! Certainly, college life is the most exciting time for students to enjoy, as they may participate in different conferences and join different clubs. However, the basic experience that you should pick up when learning in college is education and knowledge, which will be important for building your future career. Therefore, your task is to show that you are willing to learn and you are interested in learning.

It is also important to behave confident and friendly, as these qualities always attract people. However, do not confuse confidence with pride, as students might think that you are too impudent and feels inferior towards other people.

What should be done if the first impression is negative?

Do not be upset in case you fail to gain good feedbacks from your teacher and students. Of course, first impression is important, but still there is always a chance for improvement.
