Successful Information Marketing - Believe & Achieve by:Neil Asher

If you are seriously studying how to be successful at information marketing

, I suspect you've read a lot of self-help books. Maybe you've taken some courses to help you get your life on track toward the goals you want to achieve. That's good. It's really commendable. A lot of people just spend their lives reacting to what life throws at them day to day. They don't take time to really plan their futures.

Many of the best personal development programs available share a common belief. It goes by a variety of names, such a "forming a positive outcome" or "visualizing success." Most recently, it has been associated with the "Law of Attraction," getting what you want by clearly focusing your intentions and desires on it. My personal favorite expression is "What you believe, you achieve."

Why do I bring this up as part of a series on information marketing? What's that got to do with how to start an online business and how to make money online? In a nutshell, it's winning the mental game that makes everything possible.

I live near the beach. I've got a great view of the ocean. If you go out on the patio and lean on the balcony, you can smell the fresh, salty air and hear the waves rolling up to the shore.

My place is a small one, just a 1,000-square-foot apartment with a living room, a bed room, and a kitchen-dining area, which is small, but big enough for me. In my living room, I've got my little mat, where I do Yoga every morning. In the entryway near my little kitchen, I've got my little pull-up bar that I use everyday.

I really like this little place. It's got everything I need, including that great view.

Now maybe you are wondering, "Where does Neil do his work in that little apartment?" The answer is, "I don't." Nope, I've got another, identical apartment in the same building that I have converted into my office. That's where I develop my information products.

You see, I like to keep my private life and my work life separate. I don't want to bring friends over and have them seeing all my paperwork and computers and stuff. I don't want business associates seeing dishes in my sink either. And I don't want to commute clear across town to get to work. My solution was two identical apartments, just an elevator ride away from each other.

My guess is that this description of my home and office isn't the "home office" you might have expected. Maybe you were thinking, "Neil must have a huge house full of electronic gadgets, with a pool, a hot tub and a big garage with new cars in it."

Well, I've got a lot of friends that built multi-million-dollar businesses, and they've chosen to live in big houses. But this is what I've always wantedmodest, without any financial stress about upkeep.

And it works really well for me right now in my life. I think I live more like my customers do. I think I can relate better to people because I never let the wealth go to my head.

So back to my opening point: "We achieve what we believe." I don't know where you live and work right now, but if selling information products is going to have an impact on your life, the place to begin building the lifestyle you want is in your mind.

Start by creating a vision of the life you want. Picture yourself at home and at work. Observe how the information products you are selling are helping people realize their own dreams, as you move steadily, step by step, toward the reality you envision.

Many life coaches recommend creating a vision board of your future. You can cut out images from magazines that show the life you want and paste them on a large piece of cardboard. Then, you should look at that vision board every day. Use it to motivate yourself. Use it to keep focused when you get tired or frustrated. Remember where you are going with everything you are doing to start an online business.

Then, your future will come, exactly as you pictured it. What you believed, you will have achieved.
