At the turn of the new millennium, we also entered a new century the 21st century as we call it and know it. Alarming prophecies apart (that the world will soon come to an end!), it is the eagerness and want of new technological achievement that has kept the race going on. Infrastructure has been the prime area that has seen the maximum inputs engineers are now the most wanted breed in the world. From nuclear engineering to medical engineers, we want them all to improve our lives. Medical science has seen the best and most dedicated (heart-warming) progress till date and promises more towards the future of the new century that we just entered into.

Medical Science as Magical Science in the 21st Century

Alternative forms of medicine had hogged the headlines the most when we were about to step in the new century. This is more because of the reason that humans are looking at invincibility. They want medical science to improve so much that we can practically control our entire life and even age by just popping a few pills! Quite logically, scientists have been working on the same day and night trying to prevent ageing and in the process boosting the longevity even more. Everyday they have been discovering new reasons for reassuring that we can extend out to as much years as we want to. Purists and critical reasoning apart, it would really be a technological breakthrough to become the controllers of our life and just by taking a few magical' pills.

Diseases, infections and allergies would be something that the future generation would not know about at least that is what the scientists claim. Hence our expectations rise even more! Modern medical science presents a very interesting analogy to minimize medicines and maximize health! And all this while we were talking of medicines that would keep us alive for as long as we wanted to live! The best work of medicine would be in a situation where we wouldn't have to pop pills and thus reducing the chances of side effects that would eventually come with them. The 21st century medical science wants to work on the principle of a Swiss Army Knife the multi tool that can save a stitch and can even kill.

Are Miracles Waiting for Us?

Nothing can be labeled as a miracle anymore. What was a part of the yesteryears' science fiction novels has very much become a reality today. There are even some inventions and innovations that were not even thought about. Making what we know, the basis of everything around us, scientists are striving further and for the best. These days the main killer is stress. Therefore it shouldn't come as a surprise that medical science seeks to create mood lifters more than anything else because they are what will counter stress. Countering stress would mean a win-win situation where the human body would be at its optimum best for the medicines to work. The future is really bright for mankind!
