Many people dance well into their nineties and beyond. Tap dancing is a really exciting and expressive form of dance. Tap dance is a great way to get fit because you will never grow tired or bored of the dancing. The music is a great motivating feature and keeps you moving to the rhythm so you don't even realise you are exercising. Tap dancing can be challenging but exhilarating at the same time because some of the moves in tap are hard to grasp at first.

Once you can repeat certain tap steps you will be able to put them all together into a uniquely choreographed dance. Learning the new tap steps can be difficult but once you really "get it" everything comes together and tap dancing becomes really exciting. Every part of tap dance involves moving your feet to the rhythm of the music so it is a really captivating mental workout as well. There is no way that you can become bored of tap because even if you can catch your breath while dancing you will have to be involved in your mind as well.

Once you can put the steps together in tap there is another fun part that awaits. The faster you can break it down in tap the more exciting the dancing gets, and the better it looks and sounds. The better you get at picking up the steps in tap dancing the faster you can go and that makes the dancing much more fun. The faster you dance and the more energy you dance with the more calories you will burn and it does not even feel like a work out.
