Tara Reid's Mediterranean Beach Wedding In Greece Wasn't Legal

It's only been a few months since Tara Reid announced to the world the news about

her getting engaged and getting married abroad on the same day while enjoying a relaxing break with her Bulgarian fiancee, Zack Kehayov in Greece's romantic and secluded island of Santorini.

Last 13th August, the American Pie actress allegedly tied the knot with her financier fiancee during a beach wedding ceremony, and she even posted photos of the big day on her Twitter account, showing the couple dressed all in white.

However, just last week, when asked by a photographer about married life as she landed at LAX airport, to the shock of many she confessed she hasn't actually wed for real.

When quizzed about whether she thought she would have a shot at winning the new U.S. TV reality show The Newlywed Game, Tara replied: 'We would lose... we were never really married, it was never legal."

Publicity stunt you say? We don't rule it out completely as lately the star has been trying to desperately get back on the fame game and revive her career again with new acting plans and TV roles. It seemed just a little weird that just days after her Greek wedding, instead of enjoying a long honeymoon with her new hubby she instead chose to fly to the UK to participate in Celebrity Big Brother alongside Lucien Laviscount and winner Paddy Doherty, as well as the Jedward twins whom she has recently shot a music video. Tara will soon be seen starring in the twins' upcoming video Wow Oh WoW and she revealed to be thrilled with her participation, "With Jedward shooting there Wow oh Wow video in LA! 'Wow oh wow is the best video ever!", she posted on her Twitter account.

Now, she has not commented on whether or not the couple were still together or if they had known at the time what they were doing was not legal.

The couple jumped into the destination weddings bandwagon a little to soon it seems and we're not sure whether they were aware that their beautiful all-white beach wedding wasn't actually legally binding 'till death do them part, but most certainly it should have been brought to their attention by the performers of the wedding at their hotel in Greece. At the time she seemed to want to share the happy news with the world and thanked her fans for their support saying that she loved being a wife.

Her boyfriend had proposed on the same day the ceremony took place and the wedding pictures she posted on Twitter for all to see showed the happy newlyweds both dressed in white, posing on the sand in front of the sunset. Later, she also posted a photo showing off her sparkly diamond engagement ring and wedding ring.

We don't know if she is planning for a second beach wedding abroad, or whether she plans to make her marriage legal at any point, with ceremony or not, but those planning destination weddings should know that most weddings abroad, regardless of the destination, are legal and fully recognised in your home country. Non-legal blessings or romantic rituals are also available at many destinations for those who want to renew their vows or want to celebrate their love but are not ready yet for the big commitment.
