Crime is everywhere, this seems to be common knowledge but far too often your average person doesn't think about it until it happens to them. The same principle applies to your personal protection. Now some might say that a firearmis the ultimate way to go when it comes to self defense. But what are the consequences when using deadly force against another? First off, you BETTER be justified and know the laws in your state concerning deadly force, because if you are wrong you willgoto jail. Second, you better be accurate under pressure and hope that you don't shoot any innocent bystanders with stray bullets that missed your intended target. And last, you better be able to live with the idea that you ended someone's life. It could be the life of a teenage boy who was breaking into your home because he's living out in the streets and is hungry. It doesn't make it anymore right, but did he deserve to lose his life over it?

Of course there are many other problems such as it being stolen during a burglary, or curious children accidently gaining access to it's location, or during a fight or struggle it is taken away and used against you. In these examples having a firearm isn't always the best or safest personal protection weapon you can have for self defense.
