Although staff often groan at team-building exercises, secretly they usually find them tremendous fun especially if there's an element of surprise, and the chance to leave the office environment for a while. This is why it's a good idea to hold these events in a hotel like ours, rather than in-house. Outside their working environment, staff get the chance to shine in a way they never would at work.
How team building games can help your business
Many people book meeting rooms as a way to break the ice with new employees. Yet ice-breaking sessions can easily be turned into something more, and involve some form of entertainment. Although our hotels are equipped with Broadband and have full Wi-Fi coverage, when it comes to workshop sessions it can often be a good idea to resort to "old-fashioned" methods such as notebooks, flip-charts and whiteboards. This is especially true in corporate team building events, where you want as much staff interaction as possible.
