Technological Action In High Definition
To say that today's technology is absolutely astonishing still does not give much
justice to how incredibly remarkable the technology that is available to us at our finger tips truly is; especially when it comes to the film industry.
It is remarkable what film makers are able to reproduce and create. Before, it used to be amazing enough that movie making technology was continuously getting closer and closer to making things appear to be so life-like; so real.
Now a day, technology has even gotten ahead of us, perhaps even ahead of itself. Making things appear so life like was not enough; they kept going.
Now, things that we never even before thought possible, things that possibly do not even or have never even existed before seem so real. Take the new hit movie just barely release on DVD, Avatar, for instance.
Within this action packed movie, there is incredible military technology and mind blowing scientific technology that are (at least as far as what the average American may know of) beyond that of what is physically available to us right now.
However, the details and mind-altering cinematic technology that was used in this movie have made such military and scientific technology seem to be so life-like and so real.
The whole Avatar idea itself; creating a being in which is so identical to a person's brain neurons that they could be linked in order to physically control the created being and to have them be so connected that through the being one could feel, smell and taste as though it was their own body; very impressive.
After seeing this movie, there are few who could walk away and not share in the mutual consensus; "I want to have an avatar."
And the cinematic technology does not stop there. The majority of the movie takes place on a distant planet named Pandora.
Perhaps if only viewed once, the intricate details within this planet may be bypassed; however, taking a closer look will give one a whole new appreciation. It truly is amazing how life-like the creators made this movie.
From the foliage of the jungles of Pandora, to the creatures that lurk within, the life-like technology that was used to create the movie made it seem as though one could hop into a shuttle and visit.
Such technology is only intensified on a high definition television. To truly be able to take in and feel the technology that the movie industry is offering us to bring into our homes, an HDTV is a must have.
What a difference they offer; watching such mind-blowing technology on an old-technology analog television is like driving a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 through your local grocery store parking lot on a busy Saturday afternoon; get the picture?
Actually, by doing this, you will be missing the picture, a lot of the picture. HDTVs offer you a higher quality picture with a wider image aspect ratio, along with higher quality audio.
This is why you would be missing a lot of the picture. Technology is growing in the film industry as well as the television industry to keep up. That means that by not jumping on board with an HDTV, much of the technology that intensifies the movie-viewing experience will be missed.
As the film industry continues to create, and cinematic technology continues to improve, it would be well worth the investment to get a good HDTV to go with it. Some people have the fear that if they get an HDTV now, that technology will just improve and something even better will come out and they would have wasted their money.
True, technology is ever expanding the options available to us however one can feel rested assured that their HDTV will hold them over for a good long while, movies like Avatar are new technology and take years to produce.
Not to mention the incredibly reasonable prices one can find a HDTV for now; even if they come out with something newer and better that you just have to get your hands on within the next 5-10 years, it will have been well worth the small investment rather than missing out on all that action for years to come.
