As I add new team members I always ask them "why are you doing this?" I get a variety of answers but most respond something about money. This leads me to my next question, "What if you don't make money?" Most will, as we like to say in L.A. (Lower Alabama), hem haw around a little bit and not have an answer. These I will send to the web site and let them do their due diligence at their own pace. Some will say that they will find something somewhere that they can make money. I thank these people and tell them that we are probably not the right team for them and that to help keep their mental real estate at a premium that they should un-subscribe from our mailing list. The third answer I get is that "failure is not an option" I will make this work. Then I ask them "But what if it don't?" If they say I will make it, then this is the person I want on my core team.

Failure comes from an uncommitted heart. If that sounds like an iron clad statement it is. The best example I can give is the person who says "I will try." This person has already given themselves permission to fail and 97% of the time they fail. But wait what about the other 3% you might ask? What happens to them? They survive. But there is a big difference between surviving and thriving. Surviving means that you make just enough to keep on trying. Not a very good place to be. Most people who send out the 500 emails a day to you and look almost spamming are in this group. Rather than following a proven system that they are committed to they have decided that they should market 50 programs that they like and spent money on. Now if you are selling systems this is a great customer until they start telling everyone how your products do not work and your support is awful. You make some money off of them but then they cost you money by scaring away 3 or 4 of their friends. It is amazing how this person knows other people like themselves.

A successful entrepreneur makes their decisions quickly and seldom changes their mind. You will not find a lot of these types but when you do remember that they too associate with people like themselves. Spend whatever time you need to spend with just one like this and you will start a following of successful people. While they are not looking for the next shiny button to buy they are looking for a process that they can follow and succeed in doing. They know that Henry Ford had the best idea when he said "You can buy my car in any color you want as long as that color is black." Products will come and go and you can plug any product you want into a simple successful selling system. What makes the difference is a system.

The successful entrepreneur is focused on succeeding at what he has chosen to do. I have heard it said that a desperate man who has not reached bottom yet will do anything to keep from reaching bottom. Most times this means continuing to fail. A man who is at the bottom though has no choice but to dig himself out of his situation and that normally means that you it systematically. Why do you think there are so many success stories of people who have lost everything and now have it all. They found the bottom and focused on one thing and that was climbing out. What they are saying is "I will until I succeed." My last question is "Will You?"
