The Acer Stream features the Android operating system which is powered by a1 GHz processor to seamlessly run multiple applications at any one time

. It also has a 5 megapixel camera which can record High Definition video clips and great images.

The phone has great messaging capabilities with support for all major email protocols and integrated Google Mail, alongside other Google services, such as Google Talk instant messaging for continuos chat form wherever you may be. To share images and videos quickly you can send them inside a multimedia message (MMS) and text messaging in a threaded, conversation-like view is also featured (SMS respectively). Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter are available as integrated third party applications providing a further means to share media and conversation with friends. The handset also has a Document Viewer to open Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF documents when attached to emails.

The handset has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and image stabilisation along with automatic location tagging (geotagging) for both images and videos captured. Video recording is in High Definition at 24 frames per second and 720 pixel resolution respectively. The handset features a micro HDMI port which allows you to connect it to a big screen HD compatible display for larger playback of videos. Other connectivity offered for easy file sharing are the Bluetooth 2.1 and microUSB connector with USB 2.0 supported.

The Stream has a large 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display capable of rendering up to 16 million colours at 480 by 800 pixels resolution respectively. The accelerometer sensor allows you to turn instantly between portrait and landscape orientation and interface view by turning the handset. The phone runs the Android 2.1 Eclair operating system with the addition of Acer Touch 3D user interface (UI) version 4.0, and is powered by a Qualm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor along with 512 megabytes of random access memory. Along with its 2 gigabytes of internal storage memory the phone also comes with 8 gigabytes included microSD card expandable memory which supports up to 32 gigabytes respectively.
