What are cash cards?
A cash card is typically like any other ATM card and can be used with an Automatic Teller Machine to withdraw cash, but it does not link to a bank account. They are just preloaded money cards which are obtained by people by paying an equivalent amount to the bank in cash.
The acceptability of cash cards is much higher than cash, and it entails a far lesser risk factor than carrying a debit card or a credit card and losing it. A money card or a cash card is accepted wherever major debit cards are accepted. It eliminates the need to carry cash with you whenever you go shopping.

Bank accounts and cash cards
The biggest advantage of using a cash card is that they do not link to your bank account. So even if a cash card is stolen, it does not necessarily mean that your bank account is compromised. There is absolutely no chance of a person illegally withdrawing funds from your account.
All they can do is to use up the available balance in the cash card. If a report is filed against a stolen cash card in time, it could even be rendered void, thereby saving the money associated with the cash card.
