Both the companies have a large boost in sales and they make big income from the use of their cellular phone platforms. The people at Samsung have the advantage of producing cellphones. The folks at Windows only sell their software program platform to other manufacturers of cellphones.

It remains to be seen if the people at Windows can boost their sales over Samsung after the release of Windows 8 for cell phones. This software might turn Microsoft on the top player on the market of cellular phone operating systems. It remains to be seen if they are able to catch up with the sales of Android handsets. The Android platform remains the favorite among cellular phone end users and they will not give up the top position without a good fight.
