Being made of sand, the wind is constantly changing their appearance. Probably the best way to experience their beauty is by using an OHV(off highway vehicle).

There are designated trails for off highway riding. Be sure to follow all posted rules. Also, follow some basic safety guides. Make sure your vehicle has a whip flag high enough that others can see it. Do not ride the dunes alone, and always tell someone the area where you will be traveling. Also, it is very important to take a cell phone in case you have a problem. Keep a first aid kit and plenty of water handy. Watch your speed. The dunes can be more dangerous than they look. Then sit back and enjoy the ride. If you have never ridden here before, it will be one of the most beautiful and exciting things you will ever do. If you have been here, you already know how much fun it is. It will be a unique experience every time.

If you tire of riding the dunes, or that is just not your thing, there are many other things to do here. They have over 30 lakes and, of course, the beach is here too. You have choices like swimming, water skiing, canoeing, sailing, or any other water activity you can think of. Perhaps, you would just like to sit back and relax and look at the beauty around you.

If you tire of water activities, there are still many choices of activities. They have one of the largest varieties of bird species. You can go bird watching, or if you like photography, you will never run out of things to shoot. They also have wonderful hiking trails. This is a great way to see some of the abundant wildlife up close.

If dune riding, water sports, or hiking are not enough, you can go horseback riding. They offer some beautiful trails for just this purpose. You can view the beauty of nature from a totally different perspective.
