At one time or the other, you may have heard motivational speakers use this illustration about two brothers who grew up in a household dominated by a hard-drinking father. Many years later as adults, they lived markedly different lives one brother is a drunkard and the other is a teetotaler. When asked, the drunkard said that he grew up seeing his father often with a drink in his hand so that's why he also drinks. The other brother claims the same of often seeing his father drunk and that's why he swore never to drink!

This illustrates the many influences in our life; a fodder for a lively debate among specialists, of "nature versus nurture" influence on man's behavior. "Nature" may refer to being predisposed to a certain trait or traits, of being captive to something that is not one's choosing. On the other, "nurture" people argue that one's behavior is dictated by one's immediate environment. In this instance, it appears that "nurture" is having the upper hand. If so, how come we get two conflicting positions or reactions?

Okay we are not ready for a debate. But nonetheless, you may have grasped by now that the difference lies in one's attitude towards life's experiences and circumstances. It is the "tie that binds," so to speak, that makes us react the way we react or how we perceive life and the way we act-out that life. Two opposing forces defined by two powerful words being Positive or being Negative that can make or break a man.

The good news is that we can be in control of our fate. It sounds like a pipe dream - easy on the tongue but difficult to do. Although we are creatures of habit, we can certainly curtail the bad ones by trying to develop a positive attitude using a subliminal mp3. If we have consciously or more likely, unconsciously, let negativity tie us down in pursuing a desire of a good productive life, we can use the messages delivered in subliminal mp3s to become what we desire to be and do.
