The Blackberry Bold 9780 features the new Blackberry 6 operating system which allows you to switch faster between open applications as part of the multi-tasking capabilities offered by the handset. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera for video recording and internal GPS for maps and local points of interest.

The phone has 512 megabytes of onboard memory and a 2 gigabyte media card included which is expandable with the support for microSD cards offered. The compact handset features a large display with 480 by 360 resolution and a full QWERTY keyboard for easy and fast text input, while the optical trackpad in the centre offers seamless scrolling and navigation similar to that of a laptop computer mouse. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 2.1 with profile support, including stereo wireless audio for headsets, (A2DP and AVCRP respectively), Serial port profile and Phone book access profile (PBAP). Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi connectivity offers fast access to the internet and includes both RIM wireless modem and tethered modem capability.
