. Each of the 13 rooms of the boutique hotel has been decorated by a different artist, poet, musician, photographer or designer. Each of the 13 creatives was given complete freedom when designing and creating their boutique hotel room. The owners didn't want to create just another luxury boutique hotel and their original concept was to make their customers feel as if they were part of an "interactive art experience". This has most certainly been achieved. The rooms have been decorated in various ways and no creative or design ideas have been repeated throughout the hotel.

One of the rooms has been decorated by Daya Heller, performance artist and sculptor, here the walls have been covered in A4 photographs of sunsets, all taken over the course of a year in Cape Town. The bed rests in the center of the room, on a white shag carpet reflected on the mirrored ceiling. Another room, this one decorated by artist and curator, Kim Stern, has fake grass carpeting, microphones and a T.V for singing Karaoke.

Like other Cape Town boutique hotels, the rooms of the Daddy Long Legs boutique hotel include air conditioning, their own shower and toilet and the kind of simple beds and percale linen found in any other luxury boutique hotel in the area. These comforts offer reassurance that although the dcor is quirky, this boutique hotel still offers the quality service equivalence of any luxury boutique hotel.

However the Daddy Long Legs Boutique hotel offers something that other luxury boutique hotels haven't managed, and that is the authentic creative charm of Cape Town, especially found along Long Street. This is possibly due to the inclusion of street muralist Buffy Brave heart and graffiti artist Faith47, as well as the laid back Freshly Ground, who collectively decorated a room.
