The Different Treatments For Acne

. Specialists in the field have been studying the problem, trying to find out various curious. Today, there are several ways of treating acne using medicines and control measures.

There are at least about seven different kinds of treatments in preventing or purging the problem of acne. In addition, there is a number of different products using these treatments in some way or another.

Then there are antibiotics to fight the bacteria that cause acne. These antibiotics are given as internal medicine to control acne. Some antibiotics like clindamycin are to be applied to the skin. Antibiotics like tetracycline are available in the form of pills.

Benzyl Peroxide, an anti-bacterial medicine, is in use for a long time now to treat acne. This medicine has proved to be very effective in preventing and curing acne.

In recent times, there are a few herbal remedies available in the market. This new method of curing acne ensures that oil levels are regulated and fight acne effectively.

Tretinoin combines retinoic acid and vitamin A acid. This is known as Retin-A. This medicine is used to treat acne, sun burns and wrinkles. It is said to pull out follicles and eject the dead skin cells.

Salicyclic acid effectively slows down the cells going dead inside the follicle. This medicine is available in drug sores as an off-the-shelf medicine, without a doctor's prescription.
