We all already know that automation provides us a lot of advantages when it comes to comfort and convenience especially on the way we live today. But along with these advantages come several disadvantages that we should not take for granted. Aside from these advantages, it is also important for us to also talk and discuss about the disadvantages of using and implementing automation in our daily lives.
One disadvantage that we can identify when it comes to the usage of automated systems is that automation itself is only limited based on the available resources such as the current technology that we can use and implement with it. Even if we have a lot if ideas in mind, we cannot just implement automation right away; we still have to determine if we have the sufficient means for us to be able to actually use a certain automated system.
Another disadvantage is the initial cost of the implementation of an automated system. It may be very expensive to set up such system especially if it involves very complex processes. Not to mention that you still have to train the end users on how to efficiently use a certain system.
Lastly, one of the major disadvantages of using automated systems is unemployment. Due to the fact that manual laborers are being replaced by robots or other automated machineries, this results to mass lay-off. A lot of people are losing their jobs especially those who work in the manufacturing industry such as a car factory.
It is important that we know these disadvantages so that we can appreciate what we have today and somehow enjoy it. Always remember that everything has advantages and disadvantages but it is only up with us on how we will view it negatively or positively.
