First of all, you don't need to kill yourself by jogging 5 or 6 days a week to lose weight. This will just lead to burning out and getting fed up. Secondly, you need to lift weights to burn fat. Lifting weights burns incredible amounts of fat and weight training sessions are necessarily short, meaning you'll stick to the program and see results that much sooner. Start off with a simple routine of something like upper body Monday and Thursday, lower body Tuesday and Friday and taking the rest of the week off. Starting slow with your exercise routine as well as adopting healthy eating habits will leads to very fast weight loss goals and will motivate you to keep going.
