After looking through the degree programs, you will have a better idea as to how much preparation he will need.

Funding and financial aid must be considered part of your training. Getting an education is expensive, but a wide variety of resources are also available. Some resources will be specific for your degree. Part of the learning process is knowing where to get what funding you will need.
