The truth is, the diet in India would be almost perfect for the human body if food were just more plentiful
. They eat little meat or dairy products (usually yoghurt), modest amounts of grains, and plenty of vegetables and fruits. A big portion of this diet is in the form of legumes, which are an outstanding food source (maybe the best there is) and are quite easy to grow as well. In fact, with growing populations pressing the need for further food resources, we might just look to India as an ideal starting model.
