Yoghourt is a nutritious kind of dairy products, especially containing vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. As early as 3000 years ago, people in ancient Turkey had already made and drunk yoghourt. The production of yoghourt was by accident. At that time, goats' milk was put in the open air. For some days, it would go bad due to bacteria. In the early 20th century, a Russian scientist made research on why Bulgarians lived longer than people in other countries. The investigation revealed that these Bulgarians were fond of yoghourt. His research also discovered lactobacillus. Based on this research, a Spanish businessman especially opened a factory to produce yoghourt. During the First World War, it was put in the drug stores. It did not sell well. During the Second World War, this man established another factory in America and put yoghourt in coffee shops. He made many advertisements and soon yoghourt was welcomed by Americans and then people around the world. In 1979, Japanese people invented yoghourt powders. By adding adequate water, people could immediately make themselves a cup of delicious yoghourt. He named his factory "Danone", which is now a very famous brand in the world. Someone said yoghourt could function better when adding some jams to it. So a company in Prague did it and got the patent. This kind of yoghourt was introduced into America by Danone in 1947.
