Elvis has many musical achievements to his name, including being the king of pop. He is also credited with having added tempo and beat to classic jazz and country music.

Another well-known name in the history of world music and musicians is The Beatles. It isn't uncommon to see youngsters of today smoking cigarettes and indulging in some head banging to the rhythm of The Beatles. After all, it's one of the most prominent and high-ranking rock bands ever. Comprising of members like Ringo Starr, John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, the Beatles climbed to the top of popularity charts very quickly. They not only took over the global music scenario, but also became the highest paid musicians ever.

Another name adding to the list of famous musicians is Michael Jackson. Despite his death, he continues to have a massive fan following all around the world in terms of several fan clubs he has and the way his fans continue to idol worship him till date. No wonder he was referred to as 'king of pop'. He made an indelible mark in the hearts of millions through both his singles and the record breaking albums. The lethal mixture of faultless dance movements and amazing singing talent, made him well-liked in every home.

Yet another popular musician who is certainly worth a mention is Led Zeppelin. This common musician is known to have initiated the trend of the modern day rock music. It was zeppelin who ushered in the popularity of hard rock music . Such was the popularity of zeppelin that he was quite frequently referred to as 'Beatles of the decade'. This well known musician is known to have sold some 350 million copies of his albums worldwide.

So, while there are many other musicians who have made an impact on music lovers worldwide; none of them have done it on as great a scale as any of the music legends mentioned above.
