The Importance of Keyword Selection With Automated Blogs

I am a huge fan of Wordpress automatic blog tools that develop automated blog content for several of my blogs. I use the WP unique content tools in a number of ways, depending on the specific blog.

Over the last few months as I have been fine tuning my strategy with these tools, I have been able to develop a deep understanding of how important the selection of keywords plays in the overall success of the automated blog. And I'm not talking about the traditional sense regarding the SEO characteristics of the blog.

Keyword selection is even more important when you consider a Wordpress automatic blog software, because these keywords are the basis of not only your SEO ranking, but these keywords define the content that is automatically pulled using the Wordpress automatic blog.

For example, if you are wanting to use these tools to generate automatic blog content about cats, you first need to decide is it a general blog about cats, or is the blog something more specific like persian cats. As you begin implementing the auto blogging software, you will have to enter the keywords that you want to pull for the automatic blog content.

So now you have two considerations when you are doing a Wordpress automatic blog: a) what keywords to you want to optimize your blog for from an SEO perspective, and b) what keywords are going to pull the content. Why is this important?

The way these WP unique content plugins operate is that you define the keywords, and then the software searches various content sources for content that supports the keyword. If you get too vague with the keyword definition, you will get very vague results for the content which may or may not support the overall theme of your blog subject. If you get too specific with the keyword definition, your WP unique content plugin will have trouble finding specific enough content to populate.

I usually spend many hours on the keyword selection process before finalizing on the keywords I want to target. As with any other blog or website, it is the most critical step of the process in getting an automated blog off the ground.
