Harry Potter is one of the most sought after movie of this decade and many are familiar with this Quidditch game which is played by wizard and witches in the story. According to the book, it is considered as one of the most popular wizard sports which has been played for hundred years and is played in an elongated oval arena called the Quidditch Pitch.

But, this Quidditch game is not a fiction game anymore and is being played by different colleges and university students and has now been an official game for the World Cup. The real Quidditch Pitch where this game is playedmeasures 500 feet (150 m) long and 180 feet (55 m) wide. It has a small central circle in the middle about 10 feet or 3.0 m in diameter. However, any playing field that is big enough could be used but, an ordinary backyard is not enough. The edges of the playing field must be marked well to know the boundaries of the field.

The goal area must be like a half circle at the edge of the pitch and the keeper can't go out of this area and the chasers cannot come inside this circle. Inside this circle, there are three hoops where the quaffle is placed in order to make a score. The center hoop must be 10 feet high and the other 2 hoops must be 6 feet high.

The center point of this Quidditch Pitch is like the center circle of the game basketball where the referee starts the game. This is also the area where the balls are released and thus, the start of the game Quidditch.
