The Internet Marketer - The One Thing You Need To Create Passive Income and Earn Money Online - Pt 9

In an earlier article I mentioned that there are many ways for an internet marketer to earn money online. A quick list would include:

Affiliate Marketing

Product Creation

Blogging

Dropshipping

Website Flipping / Renovation

Ebay

Some are easier and others require considerable knowledge to make work. All require considerable work to earn money. If somebody tells you that you will be earning thousands of dollars per week with just seven mouse clicks, they are, at the kindest interpretation, exaggerating.

Beware of vendors who promise that they will set you up with a monetized website you can activate with three clicks and they will send you money each fortnight. At best, they will create a "cookie cutter" website full of duplicated material that will be impossible to rank in Google, or anywhere else. Your "only" task is to drive traffic to the website. Your only task in these cases may as well be "only" to part the Red Sea on your way out of Israel!

I have even, unfortunately, signed up for sites like this where, after checking out what they offered, discovered I had just paid them to become an affiliate for them. Bargain! For them. Nevertheless, one should learn from one's mistakes. If you are smart, you can learn from others mistakes. It may not be as much fun, but it does save time.

As I have said before, get yourself a plan that has worked previously for others. Follow this plan and put in the time and effort required. Do not be distracted by the endless offers of endless riches which arrive in your email inbox if you follow the latest trend, glitch, loophole or shiny bauble. What I finally did was to unsubscribe from all but the one plan I had decided to follow. Instead of wasting time doing a bit of this and a bit of that, I focused and followed a proven plan until it worked and I became an internet marketer who actually earned money online.

Get a plan like the one referred to in my bio box. Follow the plan until you begin to make money. Once you have made money the first time on the internet, it is so much easier to do it again.

Now I will tell you a secret which is seldom mentioned to the newbie internet marketer. It is the secret which validates my previous statement about earning money online being so much easier to replicate when you have succeeded once. A secret which is a two edged sword, as I will explain.

The most effective and profitable way to create passive income and earn money online is to set up multiple streams of income. Instead of being an affiliate for just one product, drive customers to multiple products. Once you have created your first internet product and have it selling, find another niche to fulfill. Create a brand new product, or a complementary product to your first. Create a blog which builds on and enhances your efforts. Monetize your blog with Adsense or a Clickbank RSS feed.

Build a list of satisfied customers who have already bought from you, and been happy with their product. Set up an autoresponder sequence and market to them again. And again. Give quality and deliver what you say you will deliver and they will buy from you over and over. You have undoubtedly heard it many times already: The money is in the list. And it is undeniably true. If you are going to go to the trouble of finding these customers and sending them to a website, whether it be your own or an affiliate, don't waste them. Do not send them on, hopefully receive your affiliate commission and then never see them again.

Once you begin as an internet marketer, you absolutely must begin to build a list of people who have passed your way on the internet, and you must begin to build a relationship with them. When these articles lead you to the stage of opening your new website, sales and creating a list will be your top priorities.

So what is the other side of this two edged internet secret?

Consider, you create a little website selling meditation cushions that you have sourced from a lovely man in Idaho. It goes okay and is soon earning you $150 per month with the prospect of more if you play your internet cards right. Your website requires hosting so people can see it on the internet. Some hosting companies charge up to $40 per month to host your site.

Now your plan is to set up ten websites a month to the stage where they are each earning $150 per month. Gradually you start to earn passive income of $1,500 per month. Not bad. So if ten websites earn you $1,500 per month, then in a year you will have 120 websites, each earning $150 per month. Before you know it, well, not really considering all the time and effort you have put in, you are earning $18,000 per month! And you are spending $4,800 a month in hosting! $57,600 per year! Probably more than your current yearly wage.
