The Lg Gd880 Mini Is The New Lg Mini Phone

A new mini edition mobile phone has now been announced by LG

, following suit with other manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and most recently HTC, LG have now entered the market with a new mini phone called the LG GD880 Mini.

Strangely, all of the phones from the aforementioned manufacturers feature a 3.2 inch touch screen display but the new mini LG phone can claim to be the smallest of them all to feature this size display measuring just 10.6mm deep.

The LG GD880 Mini also takes a similar design aspect to the previous LG pop model by incorporating a narrow bezel around the main touch screen which keeps the overall dimensions of the phone that much smaller.

This is one of the most minimalistic designed phones form the manufacturer with no external buttons below the screen as with most other models and a brushed steel effect running around the edges as well as above the main display.

On the reverse of the phone is simply just the lens to the 5.0 mega pixel camera, the rest is finished in a smooth black casing. The new LG Mini phone does deceivingly pack a mighty punch when it comes to features, inside the minimalist exterior design is HSDPA for fast download speeds, WiFi, GPS, a comprehensive multimedia player and an expandable memory.

The mini mobile phones market is definitely hotting up with the first model to bear the name being the Nokia N97 Mini followed by the recently launched HTC HD Mini. Both of these handsets are slimmed down versions of previous models but packing a similar punch in terms of features.

Another two new phones to bear the 'mini' tag are due for release soon, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro are both smaller versions of the recently launched Xperia X10 which offers a large 4 inch touch screen.

These two new models shrink this back to 3.2 inches and the Mini Pro even manages to squeeze in an extra slide out Qwerty keyboard!

The new LG Mini is due for release on April 29th, the initial SIM free price of this latest LG phone is to be 319.99 and will be unlocked to all networks allowing the user to choose either a pay as you go or contract SIM card on a network of their choice.
