The Lg Pop Is A Stylish Touch Screen Handset

Since its release in October 2009, the LG Pop has proven to be a popular handset

. With its aesthetically pleasing styling and great all round functionality, this touch screen handset also wont break the bank.

The handset is finished in a sophisticated silver colour scheme with a single button at the bottom right of the facia. The screen covers much of the front of the phone, extending nearly all the way to the edges. The TFT resistive touch screen measures 3 inches and provides great quality display of on screen content. This is thanks to the ability to display up to 256,000 colours within 240x400 pixels.

The LG Pop is equipped with a digital camera boasting an impressive 3.15 mega pixels. This also has the capability to shoot video in QVGA quality at 15 frames per second, as an alternative method of image capture.

In order to stay connected on the move, the LG Pop utilises class 12 GPRS and class 12 EDGE as its primary means of connecting to cellular networks. Bluetooth v2.1 is installed as standard offering a convenient method of transferring files between compatible handsets in the same vicinity, as well as the ability to use Bluetooth headsets for hands free communication. Micro USB allows the handset to be directly connected to a computer in order to transfer media files and save contact information etc.

A versatile media player supports several different file formats of both video and music files, including MP3 and MP4, so the LG Pop effectively doubles up as a portable media player. Fans of social networking are sure to appreciate application allowing direct access to sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, so they can send updates on the go.

MP3 music files can be utilised as ringtones so users can customise their phone to some extent. Of course vibration also alerts users to incoming messages and phone calls. A speakerphone system is installed for talking hands free whilst carrying out other tasks.

42MB of internal storage provides the initial means of storing data such as media files. A micro SD slot can be utilised for further storage by installing an upgraded memory card of up to 16GB. Up to 1000 entries can be stored in the internal phonebook which is sure to cater to the needs of most social users, and this includes the handy photo call feature.

Available in silver and black, the LG Pop is sure to appeal to style conscious users as well as those looking for a functional handset for everyday usability.
