The Lincoln Town Car

There are two standout moments in the economic history of Chicago - the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893, and then the World Fair of 1934

. The first was the first-ever global exhibition to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the landing of Christopher Columbus, and the second was the first time there was a central theme: science, and technology, which not long after the Great Depression proved to be a catalyst for growth in the American economy.

At the 1933-34 Chicago World Fair Chrysler motor company set up an assembly line to demonstrate the car-manufacturing process, which prompted Ford to do the same the following year, the results of which helped bring a new string to the advertising bow.

And it is from such global fairs, and exhibitions that new ideas are spawned, and innovations designed. A good example of this is the boom in the limousine service, especially with super stretch limos.

There are a lot of limo models, from the 40-foot mobile disco Hummer H2 with capacity for 26 passengers, down to the more modest Lincoln Town Car seating 10. But it is the Lincoln Town Car that is the sort of vehicle that is ideally suited for business people...and is exactly the sort of innovation in the motor industry that gave Chicago's economy such a boost.

The Lincoln has style, and class written all over it with its angular, streamlined chassis, chrome trim, and tinted windows. It is the vehicle of presidents, and ambassadors, as well as celebrities, and is perfect for greeting important business VIPs from abroad, or out of state.

The interior is no less stupendous, and exudes executive quality. The black leather seating compliments the black decor, and subtle neon illuminations. The fiber optic bar, and surround system will make any visiting businessman/woman, or dignitary very welcome, as does the three 7" television screens ideal for catching up on current affairs, and business news.

But then after lunch, or early evening dinner, the Lincoln navigator can be transformed into the launch pad for some fun, and relaxation on the way to some clubs, bars, or sporting event all faultlessly provided by the professional uniformed chauffeurs.
