The Location Of The Prayer Or Meditation Room Has To Be Planned Scientifically Along Vastu Principle

Here are some tips for prayer room construction

The prayer room should be located in the south or the west zone of a house

Lampas and idols facing east can be kept alongside the western wall

Pictures meant for worship and yantras (a yantra is a flat piece of metal with figures engraved on it) facing east should ideally be hung on the western wall or placed against it

It is advisable for worshipers to pray or offer worship in a sitting, kneeling or standing posture facing west or north

Lamps and idols can also be kept alongside the southern wall if there is no ideal place along the western wall. Similarly, pictures meant for worship and yantras facing north should be hung on the southern wall or placed against it

In this case, worshippers may offer worship in a sitting, kneeling or standing posture facing west or east

The northern wall may also be used and lamps and idols may be kept alongside the northern wall

The prayer room should essentially be furnished with a twoshutter door. It is considered auspicious to have the window or any type of opening in the northeast

The wick of the lamp can burn facing any direction except the south direction. For this purpose, a single spouted lamp with the wick burning upwards is ideal
