The Many Uses For Recessed Lighting

The use of Recessed lights is very clearly defined

. Anywhere there is a false ceiling of plaster of Paris or wood or any material other than the concrete is used they can be inducted.

Normal technical rule is that for lights of 4 inches diameter the gap between them must be 4 feet and for 6 inches lights, the gap between them should be 6 feet. These lights do not simply provide us light, but gives a more soothing, clean look of the environment.

Their usage has no limits, they are seen everywhere, in offices, lounges, public places, homes and even kitchens and wash rooms. All they need is a proper insulation of the wires and a proper gap between them and safety from external damages for which they are placed inside a conduit piping made up of flexible water proof plastic.

As compared to hanging lights, they give more operational economy, and coverage, as they are also available in movable type also, that is, the light can be focused on one specific end also. Most famous of them are:

* Halogen bulb type

* LED type

* Metal filament bulb type

* Fluorescent bulb type

Usage of Recessed lights is more soothing in the domestic use especially in bedrooms and living rooms. If recessed LED lights are placed with a gap of 4 feet in the outer border of a bedroom; and installed with a dimmer switch, they produce a more soothing and romantic ambiance instead of direct bright light blinding a resident. Other uses are in the elevators, stair halls, kitchen cabinets, class rooms, clinics, shops, car show rooms.

Recessed lighting is actually how a light is placed, it is in fact the format of lighting and therefore a proper assembly is designed to place the light source. Due to the use of reflector in the light assembly, more light is projected and giving out more coverage as compared to any hanging light, on the whole single lights can give coverage of a chandelier, depending upon the power of the light and type of its assembly.

Furthermore usage of LED or fluorescent bulbs further cuts down the operational and maintenance cost involved and that real serves the purpose of recessed lighting. The purpose as laid down by the design itself, is to have a light only aided with economy without the physical structure of the assembly always seen projecting causing an aesthetic inconvenience.
