The Need For Mattresses Are Everywhere

You commonly think of everyone having a single mattress

, at home. While this is generally true, there are also many more mattress needs. Nothing is better than a hotel with a comfortable bed; it can make or break a vacation. We stayed in a hotel once where the mattress was literally so soft that my husband and I rolled together in the middle and ended up being the human taco. It was horrible; we did not get any sleep the whole week. In contrast, last week we went on a vacation and the mattress was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with us. The old saying is that the productivity of your days is dependent on how you spend your nights sleeping. I think that is true, it is hard to recover from a bad nights sleep, you drag around all day.

Hospitals are another place that is important to be able to sleep well and be comfortable. You are poked and prodded and awaken so many time during the night, that if you were to add an uncomfortable mattress to the equation, it would be even more difficult. A good medical mattress is imperative to recovery and healing.

While camps are notorious for terrible mattresses that is not always the case, but usually. Why is that? Probably too much jumping on the beds. Camps are usually trying to save a buck to invest in games and counselors and fun so maybe high quality mattress aren't their number one goal, and kids are much more adept than adults are at sleeping.

University dorms also are notorious for terrible beds. Our daughter had to buy two eggshell mattress to be able to fall asleep her freshman years. I don't think it is that the beds are so bad; I just don't think they are replaced often enough. Universities have other things to worry about than the softness or hardness of their dorm mattresses. I would think a truck mattress would be the best available, after driving all day, a good night sleep could save a life.

So many mattresses from medical mattress to dorm mattresses to truck mattresses the key is to not wait too long in-between purchasing new ones and to make sure you have high quality to start with. Happy sleeping.
