The Acura RL is a luxury sedan equipped with features that prepare it for all types of excursions

. With a three hundred horsepower V6 under the hood, Super Handling All Wheel Drive, and an optional navigation system to help you find your way to the most obscure locations, the new Acura RL offers power as well as precision.

The 3.7 liter engine not only offers three hundred horsepower, but over two hundred and seventy foot pounds of torque, giving it quite the boost of acceleration. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the car offers sixteen miles per gallon in the city, and an impressive twenty two miles per gallon on the highway, which is excellent for a V6. The sedan features Variable valve Timing and Electronic lift Control, or VTEC. VTEC allows the timing and lift of the valves to adjust according to the rpm of the engine, allowing it to respond as efficiently and as rapidly as possible to changes in motor speed. The fuel injection system is programmed to respond with efficiency in much the same way. The throttle system is designed to work more smoothly and precisely than most accelerators. Finally, the engine is composed of aluminum alloys that make it incredibly lightweight, reducing vibration and improving handling and acceleration.

The Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) is designed to give the car better handling both in dry and wet road conditions. Instead of simply reacting when the wheel slips, the SH-AWD is designed to constantly adjust power for the best performance. Outer wheels rotate slightly faster than inner wheels during a turn, assisting with handling.

The Acura Navigation System provides an easily visible, eight inch flat screen. An interface dial as well as a voice recognition system allow you to enter addresses into the system. The screen will then display directions on a map explaining how to reach your destination. If you want it, the system can also give you vocal directions. Finally, it will offer restaurant ratings, traffic information, and whether as well.

The trunk offers over thirteen cubic feet of storage. The trunk can be reached through an access available in the backseat. This access can be locked for security. The keyless access system as well as a button on the drivers side can be used to open the trunk. A spare tire is also available beneath the floor of the cargo area.
