The New Way To Enjoy Art
One of the oldest ideas in the entire book of clubbing and nightlife is the idea
that down town is the place to be! Although I couldn't agree more, this theory usually comes with the premise that you are obligated to go to a club or bar. In all reality, as leaning against the wall while not dancing might sound like a fun idea to teeny boppers, in most global cities, there is ample opportunity to go above and beyond and mix art and nightlife!
Adding a little bit of art and culture to your adventures is usually much more of a rewarding experience than simply standing in line at a club for 2 hours only to get in to find that it looks more like a high school prom dance than a night of fun and thrills. Usually, the mere mention of the word art gallery will only solicit a yawn and a shake of the head from people who are simply looking for a party to attend, but they couldn't be anymore wrong.
In deep contrast to the popular image of museums and art exhibits, many in and around big towns will offer live music, a cocktail bar, and great food while you check out the modern art displays. Heading off to a party like this one will give you an opportunity to not only engage the cultural side of nightlife, but it will also let you hang out with people of a similar mindset!
Last month a group of my co-workers found out about three art exhibits around the downtown area who were holding Friday night parties. We simply called a local limo service, which was super easy because considering that we are all of the business crowd persuasion, we nearly always rent an airport limo while preparing for business trips, so we know which ones offer complimentary open bar!
First, we all met up at a local restaurant downtown to get some pre-party snacks going, once the limo arrived, we hopped inside and the party ensued. We all dressed in white suits just for the fun of it, and the minute we were in the limo, the party was on like donkey kong with blasting music and plenty of drinks as we soared to are first stop. Our limousine pulled up to the front door of the art exhibit and our party exited the vehicle in style and headed right to the cocktail bar!
We spent about an hour talking with fellow party goers, taking a look at the coolest paintings, and having a few drinks! After that, we decided to head off to art party number two! Our group then exited and got back into the limousine for another trip to the next art party! After following this awesome cycle of art, friends, and limo service, we realized this was too awesome to quit so we just kept on going!.
Truthfully, things like this should prove that you do not always have to put art and entertainment into two separate categories. In all reality, merging class and culture with nightlife and adventure is quite an easy thing to fit together!
