The Perfection of Self

The Perfection of Self

The Perfection of Self

Some people question how perfection works. How can everything be perfect when it seems as though everything is the most tragic meta-tangle imaginable. It is. The universe is that meta-tangle. The most perfect, complex meta-tangle ever. Within that meta-tangle every person, in fact, is absolutely perfect.

Every person was born with exactly the right body, exactly the right color hair, exactly the right amount of it, and exactly the right amount of curl, straightness, or kink in the strands the universe thought proper. Every person got exactly the right amount of brains, and they do with them exactly what they should or do exactly with them what they should not do. Everyone had precisely the right parents, grew up in just the right neighborhood, and got beat up by exactly the perfect bully for that portion of their lives. Everyone makes just the right amount of money doing whatever it is they have agreed to do for money, and there is always just perfectly enough and just perfectly never enough all at once. This is to make us question perfection.

Everyone has exactly the right skin color, and it has precisely the right texture. Everyone speaks just the right language for their own mouths, and say words as ugly or beautifully as their minds allow. Everyone has their own consciousness, and it is exactly what it is in every moment perfectly, and when their consciousness elevates and their awareness increases it elevates and increases absolutely perfectly for their own minds. All of us either advance toward our life destiny or we drift along lazily, letting the current take us wherever the current goes, and we all do this perfectly in every moment. We all make just the right decisions, whatever they are, as there have been no mistakes from the beginning of the Big Bang singularity until the present moment. There are no mistakes. There is only the perception of a mistake.

A mistake is a shift in consciousness, an increase in awareness, a change in intelligence, an alteration in values, or a reevaluation of a previous interaction with reality. The soldier who steps upon a land mine and destroys their legs may believe they made a mistake on that day, but they did not. They placed their feet exactly where they thought it best to place their feet. Another person placed the mine precisely where they thought a foot would land. The soldier did not make a mistake. They did exactly what they thought best. We all do our best in every moment. There are no mistakes, only a new reality.

Regrets are also marked by the same shift in consciousness and awareness as the mistaken mistake of a mistake. The concentration camp guard holds whatever constellation of values that inhabits the minds of concentration camp guards, be it patriotism, or service, or the illusion of separation, but every concentration camp guard in the history of separation did their very best to be the very best concentration camp guard they could be. They may later come to regret their participation in the suffering and humiliation of others, but at the time of their actions they could not arrive at any other conclusions than that at which they arrived. Then, a shift occurs. They come to regret their past interaction, even as they were unable to possibly do anything other than that which they did, just as we are unable to do anything other than we do. A regret is a human quality, but it is not a logical one. Newton could have used calculus before he invented it, too, but he could not have invented something until he did so.

Mistakes and regrets are formed through faulty decision making. Decisions are of two kinds. One kind of decision is a decision about an object. We like this. We don't like that. Those people. Them. The other kind of decision we make is toward an object, or put another way, toward an objective. We decide to weigh our weekly waste, and buy less packaged foods, or plant a garden, with an eye toward taking responsibility for the garbage mountains we create with our friends. Perhaps we decide toward the objective of fuel efficiency, and so purchase a more efficient automobile, and then decide not to drive it as much or nothing really is gained. This is making a decision toward an objective. A decision toward an object or objective takes us in the direction of our own lives and our own destinies.

Nothing is gained by making a decision about an object, such as that belching road warrior on tires the size of a large man. This was a decision reached by another person, and nothing is gained by either a decision about the extractor roar or the person making it. This was the decision of another person and their decision has nothing to do with us. The existence of this object indicates the goodness to another person, effectively canceling our own opinion of what should be. Making a decision about an object does nothing to move us in the direction of our destinies. These decisions only anchor us to our perceptions and our biases, and accrete onto our egos. They limit our ability to remain flexible and open. They turn us into concrete.

We do not want plus one. We do not want negative one. We do not want pretty or ugly. We do not want zero. We want every part of it. The decision not to decide about anything allows us to participate in Overmind, rather than be limited to our own small myopic vision. Liking or not liking Mr. Bigfoot blowing by in the passing lane does not change the existence of Mr. Bigfoot. Let him go. Let all of them go. It has nothing to do with us and never did. Make decisions toward an objective, and release decisions about objects. Let what is be. The change is never outside. The change is always inside.

When the reality of absolute perfection is realized, all decisions about objects ceases. Resistance is abandoned. Reactivity is dropped. Calm, complete and total calm replaces the emotion commotion and the trauma drama of resistance and reactivity. This calm deepens the longer the experience of perfection is sustained. Nothing can possibly go wrong, because everything is exactly as it is, and cannot possibly be any other way than the way it is. Sit in this place. It is a healing location.

When the reality of absolute perfection is realized, all decisions about ourselves ceases. We are not worthy or unworthy. We are. We are not inferior or superior. We are. Our breasts sag exactly as the universe and our children decided they should sag. Our noses are just the right size and shape, our bellies carry precisely just as much fat as they carry. We have just the right job for this exact moment in our lives, and we are paid exactly what everyone agreed to when we agreed to trade our lives for money. We were abused as children or loved because the consciousness of the adults involved was exactly what it was, and could not have been any different. What was was. Everything is perfectly in place, exactly as it is. Turn away from what was. What was doesn't exist any more. The only real moment is right now. What is is perfect. Arguing with reality is dumb. Reality always wins.

By orienting our lives to make decisions about objectives two results occur at one single node of interaction. The first result is our fight with reality ceases. Resistance and reactivity in essence are symptomatic of pain. The person is in pain. Resistance and reactivity are the impotent desire for control that can never be. This impotence to change reality results in emotional pain, just as holding our bodies in an uncomfortable position causes pain. When resistance is abandoned, when reactivity is replaced with acceptance pain evaporates. Control is released to surrender. Magic begins to take its place. Flow increases. Congruency is achieved. Calm is experienced, a calm that goes deeper and deeper with each passing day.

The second result is that we move in the direction of our destinies, the life intention of our essences, the day-to-day interaction with reality our spirits move our bodies to find. The greater the decisions toward an objective, the faster we orient our lives toward the organic, pulsing co-creation with universe to do what we came into our bodies and onto this planet to do. There is no time to lose. Eternity awaits.

When the perfection of what is replaces the illusion of what should be, everything shifts into place. We begin to say yes to life. Yes is the light switch to everything. And everything and everyone is, yes, absolutely, utterly, and completely perfect.
